Pronounced ‘Oi-ooo-wah-wee’, it translates as ‘cut with hot water’. This simple serve style is a common way of drinking shochu in Japan, however it also works well with whisky enabling it to show case its distinctive flavours.

Ingredients

60ml
Tenjaku Blended Whisky
40ml
Hot Boiled Water
Fresh Mint Leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add Tenjaku Blended Whisky to a heatproof glass or tea cup.
  2. Top up with boiled water to taste.
  3. Garnish with mint if desired.
